DESCRIPTION The red lechwe is the typical form as described in the species text above. It is a bright chestnut red in color.
DISTRIBUTION Swamps and flood plains in southeastern Angola, the Caprivi Strip in Namibia, northern Botswana, Zambia in the upper Zambezi, Kafue and Luapula drainages, and in southeastern Congo (K).
