Gazella dorcas dorcas
DESCRIPTION Shoulder height 21-22 inches (53-56 cm). Weight 30-35 pounds (14-16 kg)
A small, pale race. The dark lateral stripe is usually slightly paler than the back, the underparts are white, and there is no black nose spot. The horns are rather short and usually perfectly lyrate.
DISTRIBUTION The western (Libyan) desert of Egypt, which lies west of the Nile; and perhaps extending into eastern Libya. Boundaries with the Sahara dorcas gazelle (osiris) to the west and south are not clear.
