DESCRIPTION The Abyssinian bohor reedbuck is light buff in color, with short, thick horns. Lowland specimens have short, thin coats, while montane specimens have coats that are long and thick.
DISTRIBUTION Western and central Ethiopia, except for the Gambella/Akobo River area in the extreme west. Also in the Blue Nile-Dinder-Rahad region of eastern Sudan. Found at all altitudes, including the tops of the Arussi and Bale mountains at 12,000-13,000 feet (3,600-4,000 m).
